Here is a list of 5 simple ideas that can instantly boost your cashflow.
Each of them can be implemented immediately – or at most in just a few days. Some of them can get you a big instant or nearly-instant payoff. Others may offer only a small return at the start, with growing returns in a (short) period of time.
My Guarantee: if not used, all 5 of these ideas are worthless.
- Make Payments Automatic. Many people already do this –
but amazingly some don’t. Automate your payment process – especially
recurring payments. Use a credit card processor that will also allow
you to take electronic checks.
- Collect email addresses. I know, I know. You’ve heard it a
thousand times already. But are you doing it? Do you collect an email
address from every visitor? I mean every visitor? Do you employ a
tactic like my colleague Johnathan Mizel, who invented the NameSqueese™
page? If not – start doing it. Today. Only when you’re doing this with
every single campaign, every visitor, every time – only then can you
whine and say “But Ray, I already know this!” ‘Cause until you’re
actually doing it – you don’t know it.
- Use cross-promotion with obsessive fanaticism. Make every
page, every article, every e-book, every product you sell online link
to your main site or sites. Over time, this becomes a self-feeding
traffic robot. You won’t understand the true power of this until you
see it in action.
- Sell a membership. Chances are, if you’ve been working
online for any length of time, you have enough material, audio, white
papers, reports, e-books, etc. that you can put them into a membership
area. Even if you don’t charge for a membership, you could certainly
use the membership as a way to get prospects to opt-in to your mailing
list.
- Use outsourcing. Are you spending time answering customer service calls and emails? Running to the post office? Doing keyword research? Posting articles or to online forums? Find a good reliable “assistant” to delegate these tasks to. Maybe it’s a son or daughter or a spouse; maybe it’s someone you hire from eLance. Where you find them doesn’t really matter – it’s the fact that you are now free to do the things that will actually make you money. If you could spend 80% of your time marketing while someone else handles the busy-work…would you make more money? Obviously the answer it “yes”.
