What Is "Gonzo Copy"?

My new site is called "Gonzo Copy". I proudly showed it to a friend who said, "Uh, what does that mean?"

I was stunned.

Okay, for the record:

"Gonzo" is a term popularized by Hunter S. Thompson, the late great writer, who called himself the world's only "gonzo journalist". The dictionary defines it this way:

/gon'zoh/ adj. [from Hunter S. Thompson] 1. With total commitment, total concentration, and a mad sort of panache.

I know I do. And so do my clients, who pay good money for my "gonzo" copywriting style...
